Crossfitters focus on building all areas of fitness because in life and we strongly believe that specialists are not fit because they can only function in their specialty. A marathon runner very rarely has the strength to deadlift their own body weight or the anaerobic capacity to do 75 burpees. Likewise a bodybuilder often would “tank” on a 20 km run and a yoga specialist likely couldn’t do 20 chin-ups. It is our beleif that you are only as fit as your weakest component of fitness.
